Medicom

This is a dedicated message handling service located within our state-of-the-art Health and Emergency Operations Centre at Hellesdon, Norwich.

It provides a 24-hours-a-day, 365-days-a-year message handling service to a cross section of customers and industry sectors.

Primarily health-related, Medicom handles calls on behalf of the Norfolk GP out of hours service, community nurses, midwives and other health professionals, plus a number of clients from the private sector.Medicom

The Medicom team is responsible for handling about 500,000 calls a year, which equates to more than 1,350 per day.

During very busy periods such as Christmas and other Bank Holidays, it is not uncommon for the call centre to handle more than 200 calls in every 15 minute period of a two hour spike in activity.

The message handling service is also available to non NHS customers under the trading name of CallEast. This is a high quality bespoke service for any organisation that has a need to have their calls handled at any time of the day or night.
